First time here. We don’t have any good Indian food places in downtown so we ventured out to try this place. What a pleasant surprise. Food was really good, waiters very polite and great atmosphere. Will come back for sure!

First time trying this cuisine, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the the service wonderful. Will deffinetly be coming back to explore more of the menu.

This place was recommended by a friend and they were right. The atmosphere and the service were great. The food was absolutely spot on. The flavors and spice were just right. If you’re sensitive to spice go with the mild and you’ll be fine. If you love spice, go for it!! Can’t wait to come back

Delicious food! The menu offers a great selection and spice level can be adjusted if you like things spicy or mild. We have tried most of the menu and love everything but the Madras is our favorite. Classic butter chicken, Vindaloo and Tikka are also very good. We usually get take out but the restaurant is very clean and beautiful. The staff are kind and attentive.

Where do I begin? Hands down the greatest lamb in St. Pete! As someone who loves to keep biblical sabbath, Kumar (who treats you like pure gold - always going above and beyond to make you feel like the definition of special), graciously accommodates my lamb kabob requests. Keeping Gateway to India at the top of my takeout list! The food truly matches the service, too! May God continue to bless this amazing establishment! Thank you so much Kumar! Truly a class act! Amazing naan sides, too!

Fantastic meal! The food was delicious. The wait staff is helpful, friendly and quick. The manager on duty asked us how it was and if we needed anything a couple of times. I enjoyed the decorations and the restaurant was clean and well organized.

Gateway to India is a fabulous Indian restaurant located in Saint Petersburg Florida. We love all the vegetarian dishes and Nan! Waiters are very friendly and help you with your order. Weather you dine in or take out you'll love this Indian restaurant located in st.pete fl

A few different people have recommended Gateway to India, but when we saw that Tim Johnson was one of them, we knew it would be really good, and it was! Lori ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala off the menu, and I had the buffet. Lori skipped the buffet because every single item had cilantro sprinkled all over it. Everything was great and the owner has a sense of humor as he asked Lori if she would like 'extra cilantro' with her food.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service, our waiter Kumar guided us through the whole experience: my partner and I are vegetarian and he recommended some great dishes as well as dessert, and he walked us through the spice levels! We can’t wait to come back

Very nice place. Decor, seating with cloth napkins and more formal silverware. We were celebrating our 6th anniversary. We had our rehearsal dinner here, and it was a delightful memory Very professional attentive servers. Completely dependable quality of their food. They carefully serve uou the level of spice you request. I had Chicken Tika Masala, Mild. It was true comfort food. Partner had Pallak Paneer, medium spice. We both loved our meals. The butter Naan was one of the best I've had in ages. It was obviously freshly made to order. Reasonably priced beverage menu.
